A FEW BRANDS I'VE WORKED ON

I was born in Brazil to a couple of dentists. You'd be surprised how creative dentists can be. That made me realize from an early age that creativity isn't some special magic reserved to people with the title "creative".

Yet for the last 15 years I've been a creative. I started my career in Brazil at Almap/BBDO and was part of the team that helped transform Havaianas from a local flip flop brand into a global fashion icon. I was fortunate to be there at the time the agency won Agency of the Year in Cannes in 2 consecutive years - they eventually were also named Agency of the Decade in 2019.

In 2013 I moved to the USA and got my start at FCB Chicago at a time the agency was struggling to find its creative roots. Once there, I was an important part of a big transformation;  at first as a creative but eventually as a creative leader where I helped to build a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team of talented creatives and craftspeople from many different countries. As a result, FCB Chicago not only won multiple clients but also became one of the most creatively awarded agencies in the USA.

After many years in Chicago I moved to New York where I've continued to work as a leader and creative director on global brands such as Google and Stella Artois at agencies like Mother, TBWA, and Droga5 when it was named Agency of the Year and Agency of the Decade by AdWeek and AdAge.

After Droga5 I jumped to the other side of the fence to work at Chobani's In-house agency as Executive Creative Director, which gave me a new perspective on the creative business. I led a talented team of designers and creatives to expand the agency's capabilities beyond branding and into a full-fledged creative agency capable of creating and executing big advertising campaigns on its own.

Over this trajectory, I've won over 80 major international awards, including 30 Cannes Lions and several other awards at shows such as D&AD and The One Show. My work has also been recognized in many advertising publications and has been featured on the news many times including in The New York Times, Fast Company, and NBC.

My experience in agencies and brands shaped the way I lead creative teams now. I believe in working with collaborative and diverse craftspeople that are also diverse-minded. People that understand that creativity knows no bounds and that it crosses many disciplines. I like to foster teams that challenge what is advertising and in the process get to make ads that truly resonate with culture.
